It's Been A While

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all. Tonight, the Wild are in Beantown to take on the Eastern Conference powerhouse, the Boston Bruins, holders of a 45-17-5 record (best in the East).

Tonight marks the first time the Wild and Bruins meet since February 19, 2012. We all remember how that went...

(The Wild ended up winning the game 2-0)

But that game was in St. Paul. The last time the Wild played in Boston was over three years ago. The Bruins were in the middle of their Stanley Cup season and the Wild were in the middle of another dreadful middle of the pack season. However on this night, the Wild had goals by Havlat, Clutterbuck, and Koivu which propelled them to a 3-1 win over the eventual Cup Champs.

As before mentioned, the Bruins are the top team in the East and are currently on an eight game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Wild are coming of a 1-0-3 homestand in which they lost shootouts to St. Louis, Edmonton, and Columbus. Minnesota is 10-1-1 all time against the Bruins, and carry an impressive 6-0-0 record at TD Garden.

However that was before the Bruins had the Wild's number one all time nemesis, Jarome Iginla (6-3-9 line in nine games during March).

Catch the game on NBCSN tonight at 6:30 PM Minnesota time.
